SUBJECTS English/Writing: persuasive and creative essay writing, grammar and structure, helping students hone their voice as a writer and critical thinker. Executive Function & Homework Coaching: organizational and study skills, using a weekly planner or online planner effectively, preparing for short term and long term educational goals. College Preparation and Research: I work with many students and help with the entire complex process of applying to college; researching various colleges, writing their essays, and completing the applications on time! I also help students find internships and/or relevant community service work. SAT/ACT Test Prep: Critical Reading, Writing, and English sections Science, Math, Foreign Languages: I have some great tutors currently working for me that cover these subjects which are not my areas of expertise. |

I meet with most of my students throughout Berkeley and North Oakland at their homes or a nearby cafe, which is relatively quiet and conducive to learning. At times, meeting in a studious cafe environment truly helps my students focus on the task at hand. I also work with students online using Skype and co-editing on Google Docs when meeting in person is not practical. RATES Please contact me to discuss rates, as they vary depending on several factors, including travel distance and frequency and length of tutoring sessions. |
